RK : First of all, thanks a lot for accepting our invitation for an interview.
Please say something about you. About your career as a fashion model. How did you get started?
Agnes : Thank you and my pleasure. Once again thank you for inviting me to participate in this wonderful opportunity.
RK : Please say something about you, about your career as a fashion model. How did you get started?
Agnes : Well since my young age, I have always wanted to be a model. I always had in my mind that ‘you had to be tall to be a model’. I have done some modeling in the past but not to this extreme. After 3 month postpartum- having my baby son ...I decided that I was not happy with my accomplishment as a model. I knew there was a market out there for aspiring petite curvy models like me. I have always been passionate about modeling and never really gave up even though I was in another profession. I am a previous business owner and Investment Analyst who has always had a core passion for modeling.
I am a full time mummy who is now trying to pursue my dreams of becoming a model. I am currently participating in multiple Charity Fashion Shows such as Human Relief Foundation (for Orphans in Syria), Cancel Cancer Africa, Children with Cancer UK and many others.
I would like to use my modeling opportunity to help Children in need especially Orphans. I would like to share my incentives with the ones in need. I am already involved in supporting 190 Orphans in Dhaka Bangladesh by providing Education and much more. Once I am established I would like to work with multiple charities in the UK and Internationally.
RK : What is that specific moment in your life which lit the spark in you to become a model?
Agnes : Well since having my baby at 3 months postpartum- I was truly inspired to continue and had the courage to pursue my deepest passion for modeling. At that moment I decided to get myself on Instagram platform and created many portfolio images as a starting point. It was more about really trying again and investing time and money during this journey and to see where the universe takes me.
Always staying positive and get ready to be rejected. Learn from your failures and be persistent. Eventually your hard work will hopefully pay off.
RK : What was your first big break in the industry ?
Agnes : I am still waiting for that moment...I am still trying to pursue my passion in modeling. I am a believer in determination, perseverance, hard work and never give up on something that you are deeply passionate about.
I will get there as it is all about the right opportunity at the right time, my time is yet to come. I was selected to participate in the World Championship Of Performing Arts 2019 in Long Beach California for Petite modeling category to Represent TEAM UK. I would love to inspire other petite models that we can fulfill our dreams as it does not matter what age, height or shape we are.
RK : What do you enjoy most in modeling?
Agnes : I love meeting and collaborating with all walks of life. I love wearing and promoting labels. I really enjoy people admiring the clothes I wear and it makes me happy to see that they know the clothes will look good on them.
RK :What has been your favorite shoot / campaign / work to date?
Agnes : All has been my favourite no difference whether it is small or big.
RK : What are the main challenges in the Fashion industry today?
Agnes : It is a highly competitive industry and I believe model comes in all forms.... there are no catwalk for petite models. I would love to see more of height diversity for petite models. I would love to inspire other petite models that we can walk the catwalk if given the opportunity. We need to create more opportunities for Petite models.
RK : What’s your beauty regime? Would you like to share some of your best beauty secrets?
