Purkayastha's journey into the world of photography began at a young age, when he started capturing images with his mobile phone and digital camera. Unbeknownst to him, this marked the beginning of his love affair with the art of photography. As he progressed through high school, his interest in the craft grew exponentially.

In 2016, during the Durga Puja festival, Purkayastha's curiosity and dedication prompted him and his father to invest in a DSLR camera, replacing their worn-out digital camera. From that moment onward, Purkayastha's passion for photography never waned. For over six years, he has been tirelessly capturing moments, refining his craft, and sharing his perspective with the world.
Wedding photography holds a special place in Purkayastha's heart. He finds great joy in capturing the hidden emotions and stories woven within the fabric of a wedding ceremony. Additionally, he delves into street photography, immersing himself in the bustling streets of Kolkata during captivating photowalks. Purkayastha also showcases his talent in portrait, landscape, documentary, and street photography on various occasions.

Recently, Purkayastha has expanded his horizons by collaborating with different teams, taking on roles such as behind-the-scenes (BTS) shooter, assistant director (AD), and observer.
