Introducing Aahil Ganaie, Fashion Model & Actor

Retro Kolkata : Please say something about your career as a Fashion Model & Actor. How did you get started?

Aahil : My career started when I was 17 and in Delhi, I was selected for modelling show and after that I did many shows and garment shoots in Delhi, after that I came back to home.

After a gap of 2 years, I went to Mumbai for some work and I got a chance to work in serial as a cameo and worked there, I have also worked in Telegu movies as well,

suddenly I got a call from home about some problems and I returned home which is Kashmir and after that all knows about 1 year of strike curfew, I lost all the contacts

and in between I met with accident also.

Time changed when I came to Kolkata and again started my career for modelling, I did many garment shoots, fashion shoot and I got offer from Bangla movies as well but due to unknown language, I lost the opportunity.

Retro Kolkata : What is that specific moment in your life which lit the spark in you to become an actor?

Aahil : In my opinion, everyone has a spark in his inner side, only have to find, I found that. Acting & modelling spark when I got chance and got selected in Delhi without any experience, I rocked the stage.

Retro Kolkata : Where does your style savvy come from, and where do you get your inspiration?

Aahil : I think everyone has that style savy, only have to look and find that, my inspiration is my mirror, I don’t want to copy anyone’s style or anything,

Retro Kolkata : Tell us about your fashion mantra? Any fashion icons that you personally like or follow?

Aahil : Fashion is something that comes with disciplined way of wearing, way of walking,

I follow me and I am my own role model, following someone and copying them seems like you are living his life, and I don’t want that, I want to be my own BRAND.

Retro Kolkata : What has been your best fashion purchase ever? What have been the greatest challenges you’ve faced in your career so far and as per your opinion, what are the main challenges in the fashion industry today?

Aahil : Best purchases I bought Zara jacket and Zara shoes.

Greatest challenge I have faced in my career is that at Mumbai, after my shoot, I lost my wallet and was full hungry all day and in the morning at 5 am, I had to come back to studio from Bandra to Miraroad, but I slept all night at metro station with empty stomach, main challenges in fashion industry is nepotism and sexuality, giving chance to only those who can give them profit physically.

Retro Kolkata : What are your three favourite trends at the moment?

Aahil : If you are asking about fashion trend, then it’s jeans and T Shirt, Suits and comfortable joggers.

Retro Kolkata : What are the three menswear brands you love and why?

Aahil : Zara, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, all are my favourite but I can wear anything and that suits more than the Brands,

Retro Kolkata : Give us 5 fun facts people might not know about you yet.

Aahil : a) I have anger, which I don’t want to show anyone.

b) I love animals.

c) Love to help poor secretly.

d) I want to heal the pain of every hurted person.

e) loving everyone who still hates me.
