Retro Kolkata Magazine has nominated Kailash Omprakash Monga, a distinguished figure in the world of photography, as the Exhibitor for the upcoming 'AURA 2024 - International Photography & Art Exhibition'. The prestigious event is scheduled to be held at Nazrul Tirtha, Newtown, Kolkata, from January 13 to January 21, 2024.
Kailash Omprakash Monga, aged 74, boasts an impressive background, holding a B.E. in Electronics & Telecom from COEP Pune, class of 1972. He is currently the Chairman of the family-owned Monga Strayfield Pvt. Ltd. in Pune, a company known for manufacturing RF drying machines for the textile and food industry, as well as sheet metal enclosures for the electrical industry.
Despite his industrial achievements, Monga's true passion lies in wildlife photography, an endeavor he has pursued seriously since 2016 under the mentorship of Mr. Dheeraj Paul, who is also a Brand Ambassador for Sony. His love for capturing the beauty of birds through his lens has been a lifelong journey, stemming from a childhood interest in photography.
An avid traveler, Monga's photographic pursuits have taken him to about 50 countries across all seven continents. His work reflects not only his skill behind the camera but also his deep appreciation for the natural world. In addition to his photography, Monga is an enthusiast of golf and bridge.
His equipment of choice includes the Sony Alpha 7MR IV with FE 24-105 G Lens and the Sony Alpha 7MR V with FE 100-400 G Master Lens. These tools have been instrumental in Monga's ability to capture stunning wildlife images.
