I recall a well-known phrase, "If you want something you've never had, you have to do something you've never done." This compelled and inspired me to do something I had previously avoided: be socially active. It took some time for me to begin sharing a creative perspective on my routine work. I was surprised to see that the audience was being attracted to them and that they were providing a good reach to my page. Also, I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported, criticized, and helped me grow.
Retro Kolkata : First of all, thanks a lot for accepting our invitation for an interview. Please say something about you. About your career as a Fashion & Lifestyle Influencer. How did you get started?
Aniket : Aniket Raj, a fashion blogger, is on this side. I'm also a digital marketing guy doing professional work on another side. I eventually started blogging and tried to attract viewers to my profile by posting candid reviews and creative photos. So gradually, I had a respectable following and decent post reach. I'm into Fashion Blogging since 2015, month by month and year by year, I tried to uplift my fashion skills by following up with famous creators. At a tender age of 13 or 14 years, I marked the start of this ongoing journey. You could call it a silly ambition, but it was then that I began to fantasize about becoming a well-known face for my creative works.
I was showered with accolades and compliments as soon as I did so. This indeed boosted me up. I took a step forward and followed young artists and models, seeking inspiration and guidance from them.
Retro Kolkata : How would you describe your personal style and is there a person in fashion who inspires you? Which fashion designers and fashion bloggers do you admire?
Aniket : I recall a well-known phrase, "If you want something you've never had, you have to do something you've never done." This compelled and inspired me to do something I had previously avoided: be socially active. It took some time for me to begin sharing a creative perspective on my routine work. I was surprised to see that the audience was being attracted to them and that they were providing a good reach to my page. Also, I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported, criticized, and helped me grow.
Retro Kolkata : How do you get involved with your followers and find the best way to give them the content they want?
Aniket : I used to follow up with all of the trends going on, and as an experienced digital marketer, I used to analyse the impression for any ongoing content. I try my best to create something amazing from that, which will undoubtedly attract an audience and increase interaction.
Retro Kolkata : How do you select brands you work with? When was your first collaboration with a brand?
Aniket : Checking over my page will give them the impression that I always work with reliable brands. I never continued working with companies whose products don't stand out from the competition in terms of quality. Because I think that if I am endorsing a brand and some of my viewers are affected by it, they won't have to choose something that would harm them in the long run. I always want to provide my audience with a better brand. My first collaboration was with Beardo, then I've collaborated on projects with numerous reputable companies, including Bewakoof, Nykaa, UBON, Mivi, Garnier Men, Bazaar Kolkata, mcaffeine, Biryani By Kilo, Hoichoi, Eyewearlabs, SinDenim, Myntra, Sonata, Wildstone, US Polo, Amazon, American Tourister, Rapido, Qraa Men, The Man Company, Missali Shoes, and many more.
Retro Kolkata : What has been your best fashion purchase ever?
Aniket : Speaking of my shopping behaviour, I'm a really confused person. Before buying any clothing for myself, I consider how many different ways it would look great on me. Additionally, I can incorporate this in how many shoots. And this won't go with any of my other clothes. This implies that it must be exceptional and distinctive to win my favour.
Retro Kolkata : What are the three menswear brands you love and why?
Aniket : It will be challenging for me to name them. I tend to favour things that are a good fit for me. And I feel quite secure and at ease in it. Still if talking about homewear casuals I go for Bewakoof. And for my formals Mochi for shoes, Levis, pepe for jeans and Jockey, US polo for shirts.
Retro Kolkata : If you had to name one thing, what would be your favourite thing in your wardrobe right now?
Aniket : Definitely that is my formal wear, I really love to wear formals. I feel damn confident and stylish when I wear formals.
Retro Kolkata : What is your favourite style, a suit or casual wear?
Aniket : A suit for all times.
Retro Kolkata : Give us 5 fun facts people might not know about you yet.
Aniket : 1) I’m a damn funny character in front of the camera, I can flirt with the camera also. 2) I can change my style and character with cloth. 3) I really love to do adventures. 4) I can skip anything for shoots. 5) I still get a lot of excitement when I receive brand collaboration emails.
