Michelle Maya Robello, a British/South American Indian residing in London for over 20 years, has been selected as an exhibitor for the upcoming 'AURA 2024 - International Photography & Art Exhibition'. This event, organized by Retro Kolkata Magazine, is scheduled to take place at Nazrul Tirtha, Newtown, Kolkata, from January 13 to January 21, 2024. The art exhibition will occur from January 13 to January 15, followed by the photography exhibition from January 18 to January 20, culminating in a felicitation ceremony on January 21.
Michelle, whose career spans the healthcare sector in the United Kingdom, recently qualified as an Occupational Therapist. Her goal is to empower individuals to see beyond their limitations and medical conditions, leading fulfilled lives. Her journey into the world of photography began amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, a period that significantly altered our ways of living, working, and self-care.
Initially using her iPhone before transitioning to a Canon DSLR, Michelle found in photography a therapeutic tool that kept her engaged with the world. Her work primarily focuses on landscapes, seascapes, and nature, though she also has a keen interest in street/candid and storytelling/documentary photography. Her photographs, born out of emotive responses and creative expressions, evoke deep emotions and speak to the heart and soul.
Michelle's passion extends to capturing landscapes and nature during her travels, aiming to raise awareness about the ongoing changes due to climate change. Her work has already garnered attention and accolades:

- Exhibited at Colour Wings International Arts in Kolkata, June 2023.
