Delhi-based photographer Mili Paul has been nominated as an exhibitor for the upcoming 'AURA 2024 - International Photography & Art Exhibition'. This prestigious event, organized by Retro Kolkata Magazine, is scheduled to take place at Nazrul Tirtha, Newtown, Kolkata, from January 13 to January 21, 2024.
The exhibition will unfold in two phases, starting with the art exhibition from January 13 to 15, followed by the photography exhibition from January 18 to 20. The event will conclude with a felicitation ceremony on January 21.
Mili Paul, known for her captivating photographic narratives, has always been enthralled by people, streets, and diverse cultures. Her journey with the camera began with a significant win - the Sony Alpha Instagram Portrait Photo Contest in 2018. Further cementing her place in the world of photography, she was a finalist in the 2018 World Nomads Travel Photography Scholarship. Her remarkable portfolio has been featured in the international annual photography magazine 'The Light Down' in its 2021 and 2023 editions. Additionally, one of her images earned a top 10 spot in the Indian Photo Festival ‘Portrait Prize’ in Hyderaba.
Paul's work received further acclaim in November 2023, when two of her images were selected for an exhibition by the Photojournalist Association Goa, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Goa. Here, she was awarded the 2nd Prize for one of her works, a testament to her growing influence and skill in the realm of photography.The nomination for 'AURA 2024' is not just a personal achievement for Mili Paul but also a celebration of her unique vision that captures the essence of life and culture through her lens.
