Navin Vatsa, the acclaimed photographer, has been announced as the Iconic International Photographer and Guest Exhibitor for the 'AURA 2024 - International Photography & Art Exhibition.' This prestigious event, an initiative by Retro Kolkata Magazine, is scheduled to take place at Nazrul Tirtha, Newtown, Kolkata, from January 13 to January 21, 2024.
The exhibition, divided into two segments, will first showcase art from January 13 to January 15, followed by a photography exhibition from January 18 to January 20. The event will culminate in a felicitation ceremony on January 21, honoring the contributors and celebrating the artistic expressions showcased.
Born in 1972 in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, and currently residing in Delhi, Navin Vatsa has been a fervent artist since his childhood. His early years were marked by numerous awards in paintings and sketching, laying the foundation for his future in photography. Vatsa holds a Master's degree in Computer Applications and initially pursued a career in academics and administration for over 16 years before dedicating himself to photography.
In the past decade, Vatsa's contributions to the art of photography have been widely recognized. His accolades include awards from prestigious organizations such as National Geographic, Sony World, Sony India, HIPA, MSPF, SIENA, Eyeshot Magazine, Penguin Publications, and the Government of Delhi, among others. He is notably a two-time winner at the HIPA (9th & 11th Season) and a contributing photographer for National Geographic’s YourShot community.
In addition to his photographic achievements, Vatsa is also a respected mentor in the field. As a Photography Mentor for Tamron India, he has organized over 20 intensive workshops and delivered more than 50 lectures and phototalks across various Indian cities.
