Launched in 2022, the Livorno Photo Meeting quickly established itself as a vibrant platform for street photography enthusiasts. Over time, the event has expanded its focus to include documentary and reportage photography, embracing a vision free from pre-defined boundaries. Organized by the LPM cultural association, the meeting aims to create a dynamic space where photographers can exchange ideas, learn from one another, and grow both personally and professionally.
This year's Livorno Photo Meeting promises to be a remarkable event, packed with engaging activities. Highlights include a photowalk that captures the essence of Livorno’s streets, and dinners featuring global guests and visitors. One of the dinners will be held at the event location, managed by an association supporting disabled individuals, with all proceeds benefiting this worthy cause.
The exhibition component of LPM will showcase the top thirty photographs from the street photography contest, the fanzines of the project contest winner, and the winning work of the Umane Tracce award, which includes the publication of a book. Additionally, the top three winners of the street photography competition organized by the popular "Street Macadam" Instagram page will have their work on display.
Attendees will be hosted in a dedicated hotel, creating a unique three-day experience centered around photography and community. The Livorno Photo Meeting is designed to facilitate meaningful interactions, with participants sharing their passion for photography and building lasting connections. This focus on collaboration and camaraderie is why the event is aptly named a "Meeting" rather than a "Festival."
