Sayan Hazra, an engineer and research enthusiast from Bengal, has been nominated as the Exhibitor for the 'AURA 2024 - International Photography & Art Exhibition'. This prestigious event, an initiative by Retro Kolkata Magazine, is scheduled to take place at Nazrul Tirtha, Newtown, Kolkata, from January 13 to January 21, 2024.
The exhibition will showcase two distinct art forms: it begins with an art exhibition from January 13 to January 15, followed by a photography exhibition from January 18 to January 20, and concludes with a felicitation ceremony on January 21.
Sayan, who describes himself as a beginner in visual storytelling, has been engaged in painting, primarily in watercolor, since his childhood. His journey in photography began last year, with a focus on capturing the essence of folk art, daily life, and various events in Bengal and beyond. His photography is driven by a deep interest in documenting the vibrant colors, people, cultures, and aesthetics of the places he explores. Through his lens, Sayan aims to freeze moments in time, providing a visual narrative that reflects his evolving interests and inspirations.
